I started working with Starbucks in 2013. The Starbucks Art Program that catalogues branding, commissioned art pieces, and design files began around the same time they called me to repaint the original cigar band logo at the flagship store in Pike Place Market. Since establishing trust with the Seattle design department, I’ve been invited to contribute to high profile new build projects as well as established neighborhood coffee shops. Through the seasons of design changes and upgrades, we have collaborated on over 40 stores in Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, and Nevada. The designers at the Starbucks Art Program are always on hand and have been a pleasure to work with. It is gratifying to know that a large corporation like Starbucks appreciates my trade and prefers a hand-touch finish when it comes to commercial art.
